Singing in tune means producing notes of accurate pitch. For the singer, this means being able to judge and produce accurate intervals between notes, and to listen constantly to accompanying instruments, and/or fellow singers, to stay in tune with them. Keeping in tune, does not require perfect pitch, though this is clearly an advantage. See also tuning and relative pitch.
